The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7 KJV

A fool is a person who despises wisdom. Therefore, it is not out of place that a wise person does the opposite of what a foolish person does right? ๐Ÿฅณ

So, if fools despise wisdom and instruction, an attitude of the wise is that they value wisdom and instruction. Instruction is typically given to guide with aligning to a thing or situation, a derailment of which usually comes with consequences. A wise person would allow themselves to be instructed to avoid some dire situations, and if theyโ€™ve managed to default, the pain from the chastisement should typically serve as a lesson not to repeat such an error. Instructions are not always pleasant to the flesh but neither are some consequences.

Whatโ€™s your attitude towards being instructed and/or chastised?

Be like a wise person who values such ๐Ÿค—
