Happy 2016 People 🙂

We haven’t ‘seen’ since last year and it’s technically still a new year (first 2016 post), so HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! 😀

God has lots in store for you this year, and PneumaWord is privileged by the Grace of God, to be one of the channels of disseminating God’s 2016 package for you. Thank you Jesus!

Just for reminder’s, this blog’s core mission is:

MAKING DISCIPLES OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST OF ALL NATIONS, VIA TEACHING THE WORD OF GOD WITH THE REALITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

One of God’s desires for us is to grow up spiritually i.e. attain spiritual maturity.

“Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48

If you look up the meaning of the Greek Word translated ‘perfect’ here, it doesn’t meant ‘faultless’ as its English counterpart, but rather ‘complete; of full age’ entailing maturity.

We discover that the principal tool for spiritual growth is the Word of God!

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” 1 Peter 2:2 KJV

“For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Hebrews 5:12-14 KJV

We see from the above scriptures that though born into God’s kingdom as a spiritual baby, God desires us to grow by feeding on His Word. As we feed and practice the Word, it so affects our lives that our senses get trained to discern good and evil!

So, to start off the year and help our spiritual growth, PneumaWord is throwing a Bible reading challenge: TO READ THROUGH THE BIBLE IN SIX (6) MONTHS!

This is for EVERYONE; setting goals for the year is not limited to the first few days of the year only (i.e. new year resolutions).

Calendars are attached below which you can download on your devices for easy reference and access. They contain the daily reading for the six-month period. Reminders would be sent via our Twitter and Facebook accounts with the hashtag #PneumaWord6BRC, be sure to check them out. Find us on Instagram as well 🙂

YOU should participate because:

“Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action)
So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:16-17 AMP

“Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trials), a workman who has no cause to be shamed, correctly analysing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skilfully teaching] the Word of Truth.”
2 Timothy 2:15 AMP

Let’s get to action. Looking forward to hearing your experiences via comments on here and our other social media accounts. Don’t forget to share and get many people in on this challenge; a support system always comes in handy especially when loosing steam.

Prayer:
Father, make Your Word come alive as every participant in this Bible Reading Challenge reads through Your Word; may they taste the sweetness of Your Word and find themselves knowing You, falling more in love with You and sharing Jesus Christ; may they discover their real state and press in to being who You want them to be; thank you Father, in Jesus name, amen.

ACTION Peeps!

God bless you 🙂
