“Peace i leave with you: My [own] peace i now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do i give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] John 14:27 AMP

So my head was bowed, staring at the screen as i asked the Holy Spirit what to write. The above Scripture came to heart. For a moment, i thought “Peace?? Again?!”…
Checking myself that i don’t know better than God, i started typing away and inspiration poured out.

There’s what the world call ‘peace of mind’, which frankly, i’m not sure what the standard definition is or should be.

But there is the peace of God that the Bible says passes all understanding (Phil 4:7) i.e. one may not find the appropriate words to express it, but its effects on an individual’s life cannot be explained or denied; it is discernible.

Do you know anyone who could do with such: friends, neighbours, colleagues, the homeless, prostitutes, ‘crack-head’ etc? Why don’t you let them know in whom they can find it? JESUS! For free! 🙂

“I am leaving you with a gift: peace of mind and heart” John 14:27a NLT.

I am so thankful that God provides us with so many approaches to use in telling people about Jesus. In this self-centered world, a motivation for people doing things tends to be “What’s in it for me?” If that’s what you’re asked, you can reply: “Peace’s in it for you” 🙂

All believers have a duty to tell the world about the Gospel (Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8). No, you don’t threaten or bully them into accepting Jesus, you simply talk to them about who He is, why He came, what He’s done for them and why they should receive Him.
Do your bit of sowing the Word and if its received at first, GLORY TO GOD! If they resist, keep praying for them, asking God to open their hearts to the truth that they need Jesus. This way, you’re preparing the ground (Matthew 13:3-17). It’s a war; the devil won’t have them leave his kingdom just yet, so be prepared to stay at it and persevere in your task (2 Corinthians 10:4-5; Ephesians 6:12-18).

Would you dare to give this a try and tell someone about Jesus this weekend?

See it as your #WeekendChallenge and employ different means. If you’re not confident to go out on your own, go with a friend. If perhaps you’re too busy and would not have any spare time, you could share the Meet Jesus page with them online, or any other page that tells them about the Gospel. The goal is not to get more clicks on PneumaWord, but to reunite lost souls to the default of God’s intention at creation: for us to be His Children (Ephesians 1:5).

Pray – ask God for Wisdom and grace, and make an effort to tell someone about Jesus this weekend.

God bless you 🙂
