“Large crowds followed Jesus as he came down the mountainside. Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared.” Matthew 8:1-3 NLT
The Bible gives us many examples of healing under Jesus’ earthly ministry. There were many cases where Jesus reached out and healed those who did not ask for it (e.g. John 5:1-9), and there were others that Jesus’ healing virtue flowed to them in response to their faith shown by their asking (as in the verse above) or their reaching out to touch him (Luke 8:43-48). However, i am yet to find any who stretched out to Jesus in faith , fail to receive their healing.
In reply to a man asking if Jesus could help out his son, who was bound by a dumb spirit and had him throw fits that endangered his life:
Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Mark 9:23 NKJV
JESUS HEALS TODAY! I’ve seen Him do it for me, family members and many others. Deliverance from oppression of the devil (of which sickness is included) i.e. doing good is a part of Jesus’ core mission:
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38
“[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done]. 1 John 3:8 AMPC
Not only is healing available to those who are sick by them reaching out in faith to Jesus, healing is also available through the believer in Christ who ‘dares’ to pray for the sick. Jesus assures us that healing would be part of the attesting signs to the believer who goes to preach the gospel (Mark 16:15-20). The validity of the preaching of the Gospel has not expired, neither has Jesus’ healing virtue been exhausted; its largely at work in believers now.
Jesus is willing to heal you. Would you let Him?
God bless you
