“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities -His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.” Romans 1:20 NLT

The message from today’s text is pretty clear: not knowing God is simply a matter of choice, not because God has not provided the way for Him to be known:

Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.” John 14:6 AMP

I read some post on Facebook sometime ago and chuckled. Not sure what the exact words were or who wrote it, but it went something like: “Atheism is a temporary condition. One day, every knee shall bow and tongue confess that Jesus is Lord!”

Our text for today settles (at least I think it should) a question that may be in the hearts of many believers, about the fate of those who in our opinion have not heard the Gospel. I don’t understand the dynamics of everything, but today’s verse simply confirms to me yet again, that God is justified for every decision He makes. No one who stands before the judgement seat of Christ can offer an excuse tenable enough for he/her not to have known God whilst on earth. Today’s text is simply saying that God has put sufficient clues about His person and character, for people to realise His existence in His creation.

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.” Proverbs 25:2 KJV
People derive pleasure when that “Eureka!” (breakthrough, discovery) moment is arrived at, especially concerning something they’ve been at for so, so long. God seeks for ALL MANKIND to arrive a the “Eureka!” moment of knowing about His person (1 Timothy 2:4).

We, believers have a part to play in helping unbelievers arrive at that moment (Matthew 28:19; Mark 16:15). Please, talk to someone about Jesus today. Simply share your faith, read a scripture, share the meet Jesus or any other page that helps them realise their need for Christ, and shows them the way to Him; see it as your gift to God this weekend 😀.

Pray and take a bold in letting people within your sphere of influence know about the person of God today, what He did for them through Jesus Christ and what He offers for those who follow Him.
God bless you🙂
