From Proverbs 1:20, wisdom is personified as a being, accessible to anyone who would respond to her calls. Amongt those who won’t answer when she calls are those who hate knowledge.

The dictionary defines hate as “feel intense dislike for”; a very strong emotion!

Flipping that, to love can be described as to “feel intense like for”. There’s nothing lethargic about that! 

If wisdom won’t heed those that hate knowledge, it is safe to say she will heed “those that love knowledge => those that have an intense liking for knowledge! Therefore, a love for knowledge can be aptly described as an attitude of the wise!
