“When some donkeys belonging to Saul’s father Kish were lost, Kish told Saul, “Take one of the servants with you, and go look for the donkeys.” 1 Samuel 9:3 GW

“Now the LORD had told Samuel in his ear a day before Saul came, saying, To morrow about this time I will send thee a man out of the land of Benjamin, and thou shalt anoint him to be captain over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon my people, because their cry is come unto me.
And when Samuel saw Saul, the LORD said unto him, Behold the man whom I spake to thee of! this same shall reign over my people.” 1 Samuel 9:15-17 KJV

When Saul’s father lost his donkeys, he asked Saul to go look for them along with a servant. A child has a duty to obey his parents’ right? Yep! (Ephesians 6:1). Off went Saul along with the servant. What probably started out as a journey full of hope was turning into dismay with no sight of donkeys. How far could donkeys go? Well, apparently far enough to bring a man to his God-assigned place for breaking forth into destiny. The Scriptural text quoted about shows that indeed God sent Saul to Samuel, as Israel had earlier demanded for a king (1 Samuel 8) and God had chosen Saul to lead them.

Take a look in the mirror – God’s Word the Spiritual Mirror (2 Cor 3:18; James 1:22-25), or even a physical mirror now if you can please, and ask yourself, “is the unpleasant situation I’m facing despite trusting God with my life, purely circumstantial, or could it be a divine appointment through which God would be glorified, and i’d break forth further into His purpose for my life?”

Like Saul’s father’s servant (1 Samuel 9:6), I’m encouraging you to keep on with God, seeking for answers in His Word and prayer and soon enough, you’ll thank God you didn’t prematurely step out of that circumstance and miss the pruning in Jesus name, amen (John 15:1-6). Don’t give up, be encouraged; prayed for you already to stand strong ❤ 🙂
Happy New Month.
