“I will stand at my post, and station myself on the rampart. And I will keep watch to see what he will say to me, and what he will answer concerning my complaint.” Habakuk 2:1 LEB
The Year 2016 is gone (obviously). How are you going about the new year?
Have you been so ‘disappointed with God’ the last year, that you’ve resolved to let this year unfold as it may i.e. you won’t bother anymore?
Have you failed to see the manifestations of what you believed God promised you? Have you reached a point where you’ve said or thought, God I believe in you -no question about that, but I’m not going to trust you with my heart anymore because I’ve been so heartbroken. I’m going to read my bible and pray daily, go to Church and serve, but that’s it! I won’t be vulnerable with you anymore!
I don’t have all the answers (Newsflash 😆) but, YOU’RE NOT ALONE!
Prophet Habakuk was there. Strapped with promises from God all round, with situations looking bleak, he took it up with God, got refreshed by the Word of the Lord, and was no longer sad about his predicament.
I’d encourage you to go before God and sit still in His presence. Have a genuine heart to heart with Him, and allow Him comfort you with His Word. By God’s grace, you’ll come out refreshed like Habakuk (Habakuk 3:17-19).
Remember God is faithful (2 Tim 2:13); don’t allow how contrary your situations are to cloud that reality. God works in seasons. Be sure to be faithful with whatever He has committed to you and in due season, you would reap (Ecc 3:1; Gal 6:9). God’s Word can be trusted; it’s been tried (Ps 12:6; 19:7; 93:5)
Remember, GOD LOVES YOU! 💕
God bless you
