“There is a way that seems right to a person, but eventually it ends in death.” Proverbs 14:12; 16:25 GW.
As believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we need His guidance concerning every aspect of our lives. One of the reasons why, is listed in the featured image – a path may look great but it eventually leads to death (which could be literal or symbolic e.g. lack of fruitfulness).
A new year offers hope for new beginnings for many individuals, whereas others may view it as ‘one of those things, let’s just get by’!
Anyone who’s faced disappointment before would surely be excited with new opportunities. For example, if perhaps, you were jobless in 2016, but have got three good jobs offers so far this year, you should be over the moon with excitement. However, what would be the motive behind the one you pick? Would you pick the one that offers you the most benefits, or would you pray and ask God to point out the one He’d rather have you pick?
We believe many doors would open for you this year. However, be sure that God is the reason behind the ones you choose to walk through! If you’re new to this (allowing God determine your course of action), it may take some getting used to, but it’s totally worth it.
Decide to let God have a say concerning which way you go in 2017.
God bless you 🙂
