“Delayed hope makes one sick at heart, but a fulfilled longing is a tree of life.” Proverbs 13:3 God’s Word Translation
Following on from yesterday’s post, below is one source of discouragement:
‘DELAYED’ PROMISES
When our expectations do not get fulfilled within our specified timeframe, it can be discouraging. It’s at times like this that when someone narrates their recent experience with God, you’ll probably feel like saying: “Hey, when next you talk to God, let Him know i’m still here?”
God hasn’t forgotten about you; ‘occasional memory loss’ is not part of His bio 😉 Comfort your heart by choosing to believe that God is never late, and relieve yourself from trying to ‘pressure’ God into working within your time frame; GOD DOES NOT DWELL IN THE REALM OF TIME (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8)! Remember,
“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19
At the right time, His promises to you would come to pass. The saints of old gained divine approval because of their faith (Hebrews 11:3), and you would too if you stick it out; hold on.
God bless you
